Payment & Scheduling

Common questions about payment, insurance and office hours.

Regal Weight Loss is self-pay and doesn't bill insurance, but many clients pay with an HSA or FSA card, and payment plans are available through Cherry for those who qualify. Pricing depends on the program that fits you, so it's explained in full at a free consultation before you commit. Our three DFW offices keep weekday hours, and virtual visits are available anywhere in Texas.

How much will my program cost?

Your cost depends on the program that fits you, so we walk through it with you, in full, at a free consultation before you commit to anything.

Regal doesn't sell one package. Two people who walk in the same day can leave with very different plans: one may need a nutrition plan and weekly coaching only, another may be a candidate for a GLP-1 medication, and a third may want to add lipotropic shots or a hormone evaluation. Posting a single price online would be accurate for almost no one, and it would leave out the part that matters most, which is what's included.

What changes the cost of a program?

Medication or not

Whether your plan includes prescription medication, and which one, is the biggest variable. That's decided after a medical evaluation, not at checkout.

How long your plan runs

Someone with 25 lbs to lose and someone with 100 lbs to lose need different timelines and different levels of support.

Add-ons you choose

LipoStat® Skinny Shots, women's hormone care, testosterone therapy and SculpSure are optional and priced separately.

Your budget

Part of the consultation is fitting the plan to what you can afford, so you aren't stretched by week six.

You'll leave the consultation knowing the total, what it covers and how you'd pay, and you're free to go home and think about it.

Does Regal Weight Loss take insurance?

No. Regal is self-pay, so you won't deal with prior authorizations, network rules or surprise denials for the program itself. Many clients still put pre-tax money toward it with an HSA or FSA card (below).

Can I ask my insurance to reimburse me?

Some clients try. Ask our office about a standard Letter of Medical Necessity you can submit to your carrier with your receipts. If your carrier requires a provider's signature on that letter, you'll need to request it from your primary care provider. Whether you're reimbursed is entirely up to your insurance plan.

What about my prescription coverage?

If a medication is part of your plan, your provider will explain the form you'd receive and how it's supplied. If you hope to run a brand-name medication through your own pharmacy benefit, bring that up at your consultation so it can be factored into your plan.

Can I pay with an HSA or FSA card?

Yes. Regal processes HSA and FSA cards, and many clients use them. It's one of the most common ways people pay for medical weight loss.

  1. Check your balance and deadline.FSA funds often have a use-it-or-lose-it date at the end of your plan year. HSA funds roll over.
  2. Confirm eligibility with your administrator.Under IRS rules, a weight-loss program generally qualifies when it treats a specific disease diagnosed by a physician, such as obesity, and not when the goal is general health or appearance. Your plan administrator makes the final call.
  3. Keep your receipts.Ask us for itemized receipts in case your administrator asks for documentation.
Good to know: We can't tell you how your specific plan will treat a purchase. When in doubt, call the number on the back of your card before your first payment.

Are payment plans available?

Yes. Regal partners with Cherry, a third-party payment-plan company, so you can spread the cost of your program over time. Approval and terms depend on Cherry's application, which is quick and done online. Some clients qualify for promotional terms; others get a standard plan.

A payment plan can make sense when you'd rather start now than wait until you've saved the full amount, or when you want to keep your HSA or FSA balance for other medical costs. Your consultant can show you how a plan would fit the program you're considering before you apply.

Who provides the medical care?

Regal Weight Loss LLC is a medical referral service. Medical services, including evaluations, lab review and prescriptions, are referred to and provided by independent licensed providers. Our Medical Director is Eric Naifeh, FNP, PMHNP, DC, who evaluates clients, reviews labs and approves prescriptions across every Regal location.

Your day-to-day support comes from Regal's consultants: Marissa, our Certified Nutritionist and Spanish consultant in Mesquite (habla español), and Paris, our Chief Consultant in Fort Worth and Grand Prairie since 2019. Prescription medication is prescribed only when it's clinically appropriate after a medical evaluation.

Questions to ask before you pay

Whether you choose Regal or another program, these are the questions that tell you what you're really buying. Bring them to your consultation:

  • What exactly is included? Medical evaluation, labs, medication, coaching visits, nutrition plan.
  • How often will I see or talk to someone? At Regal, check-ins are weekly.
  • Who reviews my health history and approves any prescription?
  • What happens if I have side effects? Ask to see the written protocols.
  • What does the plan look like after the first phase? Maintenance matters as much as the first 20 lbs.
  • How do I pay, and when? HSA/FSA, payment plan or card.

Frequently asked questions

Why don't you list prices on your website?

Because the right program varies so much from person to person. Whether medication is part of your plan, which one, and how long you'll need support all change the total. We'd rather give you an accurate number for your plan at a free consultation than a starting price that doesn't apply to you.

Is the consultation really free?

Yes. The consultation is free and comes with no obligation. You'll hear how the programs work, which ones fit you and what they cost. You can book online, by phone or in person, pick the day and time, and decide afterward on your own schedule.

Can I use my FSA at the end of the year?

Often, yes. Many people use remaining FSA funds before their plan's deadline. Confirm your plan's deadline and eligibility rules with your administrator first, then let your consultant know you're paying with an FSA card so you get itemized receipts for your records.

Can I combine an HSA card with a payment plan?

Many clients mix payment methods, for example using an HSA or FSA card for part of the cost and a payment plan for the rest. Ask your consultant how it would work for your program, and check with your plan administrator about which expenses your account covers.

What's the difference between paying with an HSA and an FSA?

Both let you use pre-tax dollars for eligible medical costs. HSA money is yours to keep and rolls over year to year. FSA money usually has to be used within your plan year, though some plans allow a short grace period or a small carryover. Regal accepts both cards; your administrator decides what's eligible.
